Lupita Nyong’o Emotional about Filming Black Panther 2

Lupita Nyong’o, the renowned actress, has disclosed that filming the movie to Marvel’s successful superhero film Black Panther will be difficult due to the death of lead star Chadwick Boseman, who played Marvel’s African king, T’Challa, in August last year.

In a recent interview, a sentimental Lupita revealed that she can’t imagine walking onto the set without Chadwick.

“People will ask me, ‘Are you anticipating going back?’ The word isn’t “anticipation.” When it comes to Black Panther 2, I find myself in a somber and contemplative state. “His death is still very raw for me,” Nyong’o says, before hesitating. “And I can’t even begin to imagine what it’ll be like to walk onto the set without him.”

Lupita went on to say that the American film director, producer, and screenwriter (Ryan) has reshaped the second film to honor Boseman’s legacy.

“And his idea, the way which he has reshaped the second movie is so respectful of the loss we’ve all experienced as a cast and as a world,” she added.

The 38-year-old Oscar winner, on the other hand, shared complete faith in writer and director Ryan Coogler, who will return for the sequel in July of this year.

Despite the emotional setback caused by Boseman’s untimely death, Lupita said that she is ready to move forward and respect his legacy by carrying his light through it.
