Sauti Sol and Sol Generation in collaboration with the well-known Eugene Mbugua have blessed their fans with another season of Sol Family. Sol Family is a reality show and a documentary merged into one. The show is about the daily lives of the cast to propel the ‘DOPE’ mantra (Discipline, Order, Passion, and Excellence).
Eugene labeled Season 1 as a ‘stepping stone’, “Season one came out at a time when we didn’t even know if we could put someone on tv without a mask but season two is very exciting because people are used to the camera now and are expressing themselves. We will see new faces on the show.”
The show explores Bien and Chiki’s marriage, Polycarp and Lady Mandy’s first steps into parenthood, Savara and Yvonne Endo’s budding relationship, and Chimano’s closet. Viewers will see how the Sol generation apply these to their day-to-day lives. The band’s spouses are also featured in the show, just as in Season 1. The fans should expect to see the business side of the stars, how they find and keep love, perfect their music craft, re-connect with family, deal with industry heat, and so much more.
At the launch of Season 2, Monday 15 March, they arrived in a convoy at the Social House Nairobi. Also, present were their spouses, William Njero their General Manager, and Eugene Mbugua.
“We decide that we wanted to open up our world to everyone. One thing that is critical to us as a record label is to work as a family,” mentioned William at the Launch.

Season’s 2 casts will include Bien, Polycarp, Chimano, Savara, Yvonne Endo, Chiki, Lady Mandy, Bensoul, Nviiri among others.
The show will air weekly exclusively on Showmax. Later on, fans will be able to view it on Maisha Magic.
