It is over a year since we had the first case of COVID-19 in the country. Majority of Kenyans have clearly suffered as a result of the pandemic. Some people have lost their jobs, while others have had to close their businesses.
Over 2,000 Kenyans have died as a result of the virus, and the death toll is still rising. However, the majority of netizens are sick of the lockdown and curfew and want the government to open up the economy.
A significant number of celebrities have taken to social media to request the president to open up the country. On their pages, Khaligraph Jones, Nyashinki, Nadia Mukami, Betty Kyallo, Dj Lyta, Mejja, and many others wrote.
Such a difficult time for Kenyans. It hurts to see too many Kenyans I know personally who were working in hospitality and entertainment industries ask for help to buy food for their families. Something needs to happen to relieve the burden on All affected. Our leaders need to lead
