The Kenyan music industry is grieving the death of Christian Longomba, one brother of the Longombas singing couple – which managed the Kenyan music scene years is gone. Christian, who greatly influenced the Kenyan showbiz scene along with his twin sibling Lovi Longomba, kicked the bucket on Saturday after a long battle with a cerebrum tumor.
Speaking yesterday, Lovi said his sibling had fought the disease boldly. He portrayed him as a warrior who even all through the ailment stayed sure about existence and kept his confidence in God. Lovi said the family was still taking in the sudden news of Christian’s death, adding that a thorough report would be given today.
Lovi additionally took to social media to grieve his sibling, saying: “To be missing from the body is to be available with the Lord.” As per his sister Jessy Jones, Christian, 37, who had been in and out of the emergency clinic, kicked the bucket in Los Angeles, US.
The artist had gone through a medical procedure in May 2015, and a second one after specialists discovered blood clusters in his cerebrum. His family had requested help to cover his doctor’s visit expense, which was nearly Sh2 million at that point.
The entertainment fraternity and the Longombas fans are still mourning the demise of Christian Longomba. Nonetheless, Lovi urged their fans to remain strong and keep the family in prayers, he said: “I understand that the passing on of Christian is not easy to take”.
“In the words of Christian, I would like to say thank you to all our fans, and we love all of you. I know this is hard for you and I can’t imagine how hard it is for you, as I am also a big fan of Christian. Keep his memory alive by playing and listening to his music,” he said.
