After the accomplishment of the award-winning Kenyan film, Plan B – a romantic comedy movie that premiered in February 2019, actress cum producer Sarah Hassan announced that she was set to deliver another film in 2021.
In anticipation, she said on her Instagram, “When Netflix tells you @justintimemovie is worth the wait and you know @_lowladee doesn’t disappoint.”
Very much like in the creation of Plan B, the film goddess has again collaborated with Nigerian movie producer Dolapo Adeleke, prominently known as LowlaDee to make this new work of art.
This latest LowlaDee movie Just In Time, which is written by her, is currently live worldwide on Netflix. Actress Sarah Hassan and top Ghanaian actor, Mawuli Gavor are the leading cast of the movie.
The film stars popular actors and some of the celebrated Kenyans such as Martin Githinji, Eve D’souza, Pierra Makena, Fidel Maithya, and Kagwe Mungai. The movie is produced by Wangui Ngunjiri, while LowlaDee is the director.
Just In Time is one of the several films that the former Tahidi High actress has been part of. Other than that, some of her successful movies include 40 sticks, Crime and Justice, How To Find a Husband, and The Company you Keep.
Since joining the film industry, Sarah has shown tremendous growth in her career. We have witnessed this when she won the East African movie Award at the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards and also recently got an award for the Best Newcomer Producer at Women In Film Awards (WIFA).
Synopsis: Three worlds collide when a local bookstore manager, Muthoni, is forced to host her witty 11 year old niece and the arrival of an unexpected next door guest.
